DockProof
DockProof records how long trucks wait at the loading dock – with time, location, photos and a signature on site – and turns it into waiting-time records and demurrage invoices for the loading point. Built for small hauliers and carriers in Austria and Germany.

The challenge
Waiting for hours at loading and unloading points is everyday reality. Demurrage is often part of the freight contract but rarely charged, because the proof is missing: times are scribbled on paper, nobody signed, and the arrival time is disputed. For a small haulier the effort is not worth it – the money is left on the table.
The solution
Drivers sign in once via QR code without a password and tap “I have arrived” at the dock. Time and location are recorded, the free time counts down visibly, then demurrage runs live. Photos, the dock number and confirmation with name and signature on site are added – even without signal; the app uploads later. DockProof records the location only at these steps; there is no continuous tracking. In the office, dispatch sees every dock live, plans tours, checks records and sends the demurrage invoice per loading point with a PDF by email. Completed records are secured with checksums so that later changes are visible; the loading point verifies authenticity via link or QR code. Whether demurrage is owed is still governed by the freight contract – DockProof provides the proof.
The outcome
Version 1.2 is complete and covered by 198 automated test runs: driver app, dispatch, invoices, statistics and export, plus configurable retention, deletion and a data processing agreement. Next up are live operation on dockproof.automata.at and first conversations with hauliers.
