The challenge
Open networks suffer from advertising, inactive profiles and unclear expectations. The idea behind SANCTUM was a network in which membership itself does the selecting – no application, no committee, but clear rules.
The solution
Nine circles in a distinct gold-on-black design world: members write only within their tier, while higher circles are visible but sealed. Moving up to a higher tier is possible at any time. Messages arrive in real time, the interface is bilingual, and an admin area handles payment approvals and memberships.
The outcome
The platform is implemented as a fully working version and has been tested end-to-end across several browsers: sign-up, payment, circle, real-time message, upgrade and cancellation. The real-time server was built in-house without external dependencies.
